The whole June 22 to 24 camp group with two horses under the oak at Horses and Hope

Summer 2026

Camp was
something special.

Riders. Horses. Faith. Memories that last a lifetime.

"There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a child." — Winston Churchill

June 8 to 10

Beginner Camp

3-Day Camp Ages 5 and up Mon to Wed, 9AM to 1PM

New to horses? This is where it starts. Beginner campers spent three days learning groundwork, brushing and caring for horses, and basic riding, alongside the parts they talk about all year: painting the horses, the water slide, and crafts. No riding experience needed, just an eager heart.

June 18

Beginner 1-Day Camp

1-Day Camp Ages 4 and up Thursday, 9AM to 1PM

A mini beginner experience, with everything the full camp offers packed into one action-packed day. Perfect for younger children, and for families who wanted to try the barn before committing to a full week.

June 22 to 24

Beginner Camp

3-Day Camp Ages 5 and up Mon to Wed, 9AM to 1PM

Our second beginner week of the summer, and a completely different set of faces. Three days of groundwork, grooming, horse care and first rides, with plenty of time for the fun that makes camp stick in a kid's memory.

July 9

Devotion Camp

1-Day Camp Ages 10 and under Thursday, 9AM to 1PM

Devotion Camp is unlike anything else we offer. A day built around what horses teach us about Jesus: trust, patience, gentleness, and the courage to keep going. FCA speakers, guided devotion time, riding, crafts and fellowship. No riding experience needed, and every child welcome exactly as they are.

July 13 to 15

Intermediate to Advanced Camp

3-Day Camp Lesson students Mon to Wed, 9AM to 1PM

For riders ready for a real challenge. Campers took on bareback riding, horse anatomy and saddle fitting, deepening both their skill in the saddle and their understanding of the horse underneath them.

July 23

Devotion Camp

1-Day Camp Ages 11 and over Thursday, 9AM to 1PM

The same heart as our younger Devotion Camp, pitched for older riders. Faith at the center of the whole day, with FCA speakers, devotion time, riding and fellowship, meeting kids right where they are.

July 27 to 29

Advanced Camp

3-Day Camp Lesson students Mon to Wed, 9AM to 1PM

Our final week of the summer, and the one riders work toward all year. Bareback work, anatomy and saddle fitting, for students who ride with confidence and were ready to push further.

Fridays of camp weeks

Feel Fridays

Groundwork lesson 9AM and 10AM $45 for the hour

Camp weeks ask a great deal of the horses, in body and in brain, so on the Fridays of our three-day camp weeks we swapped riding for groundwork. Feel Fridays are exactly what the name says: learning the feel, the touch, the communication and the body language of a 1,000 pound animal, all from the ground. Riding is not horsemanship, and some of the most important things a rider ever learns happen with both feet on the floor.
